Adele Hubbard

Adele B. Hubbard (Woitscheck) born in West New York, New Jersey on November 20, 1922 passed away peacefully on July 7th, 2021. Del is survived by her daughters, Dian Fitzpatrick (Hubbard), her partner Richard Webber, Jeri Hutchings (Hubbard); Jane Grey-Jones (Hubbard), her wife De Grey-Jones; and her son R. "Hubbs" Hubbard, and his daughter, her grand daughter, Megan Hubbard.

Del was an avid reader where she became enthralled with language and grammar, much to her children's frustration as everyday was grammar day! Del was a wonderful bridge player and artist. Her art was expressed through painting, quilting, cross stitching and writing. Her talents we passed on to her children in various ways and we are blessed to have there talents. She will undoubtedly be remembered by those who knew her as having a very dry sense of humor and loved to poke fun at you if you were part of her life.

Having lived most of her young adult life in Bergen County, she moved to Woodbridge Township (Middlesex County) in the 50's to raise her children and has been a resident of Colonia and Woodbridge for over sixty years. As a young mother she was active in the Colonia Junior Women's League doing volunteer work to serve the surrounding communities. Over the course of her life many dogs we loved and invited into the home but the canine love of her life was Dixie, a sweet, noisy, Bichon whose passing broke Del's heart.

Mom will be missed but she has four children that will always have her in their hearts.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Raritan Bay Funeral Service, 241 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy, NJ 08879. Cremation was private.
