Anthony "Tut" Coccia

Anthony “Tut” Coccia passed away on January 29th, 2017 at the age of 97.  Anthony spent a life loving family, honoring God and doing good for others. Born in Rome, NY, Tut was raised in Newark. He owned his own trucking company, Tut’s Express and worked locally in NJ. He worked Bingo for many years at St Catherine’s in Hillside, NJ. He retired to Bayonet Point, Florida where he loved to take his grandchildren to the beach and strawberry picking.  He volunteered at St Michaels Church, the local Community College, and Share N Care until he was 90.

He is predeceased by his brothers Peter, Ralph and Joe, and his sisters, Lily, Sally, Nellie, Nancy, Franny and Gloria. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was married to Isabelle (Delmont) Coccia for 51 years before she passed in April 1999.  He is survived by his children, Barbara Dugan

of Orlando, Fl, Tom Coccia of Marietta, GA, Mary Ann Chiarello (and husband Paul)  of Pittstown NJ and Carolyn Coccia of Doylestown PA.  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Nicole Colby, Kristen Lantta, Brooke Beshudi, Kelly Jewell, Lauren Eberle, Christina Russo and Nick Chiarello.  In addition, he has 8 great grandchildren, Regan and Kedzie Lantta, Avery and Charlotte Jewell, Caden Colby, Chase and Ava Eberle and Savannah Russo.

A memorial mass will take place Friday, May 5th at 10:30 AM at the Holy Spirit Church, 971 Suburban Rd, Union, NJ. Interment immediately following the memorial mass will be held at Hollywood Memorial Cemetery, 1500 Stuyvesant Ave, Union, NJ. Funeral Services are under the direction of Guardian Trade Service, LLC, 241 Bordentown Avenue, South Amboy, NJ 08879. Cremation is private.
