James Adamo

James Douglas Adamo was the first child of Catherine and Douglas Adamo. Born in Morgantown, West Virginia on August 28, 1983, "Jimmy" lived on a small farm for his first two years. When his parents completed school at West Virginia University, Jimmy's family moved to Massachusetts and then to North Carolina due to jobs. Jimmy was ecstatic when his sister, Chrissy was born in Salisbury, NC. At the age of 4, Jimmy's family returned to WV. Jimmy started school in Marlinton, WV. He was always outgoing and friendly, making friends easily.  Later, Jimmy attended Nichols Elementary and Milton Middle School in Cabell County, WV.  Jimmy was a great athlete and excelled in track, baseball and soccer. When his family relocated to Old Bridge, NJ, Jimmy attended Jonas Salk Middle School, where he set a record time for the mile in track and played on the soccer team.  Jimmy graduated from Old Bridge High School in May 2001. Jimmy was part of the pitching core for his Old Bridge Senior League baseball team, NJ District 10 Champions in 1999.

Jimmy worked several maintenance and warehouse / Shipping positions in central NJ before his last job at Shop Rite Supermarket in Spotswood, NJ. He was known for working hard, for his friendly service, and for being a helpful team player.

Jimmy was a loving father to his three children, as well as a caring son, grandson and nephew. He was also a faithful fan of the NY Giants, NY Yankees, and the West Virginia Mountaineers. He will be greatly missed, loved, and forever in our hearts.
